Los Altos, California and

Los Altos Hills, California

Originally an agricultural town with many summer cottages, Los Altos honors it’s past yet maintains a visionary outlook. Mr. Anderton enjoyed his first home here and the community very much and he still remains well connected to the area socially and professionally. Los Altos has several distinctive features. Commercial zones are strictly limited to the charming downtown area and small shopping and office parks lining Foothill Expressway and El Camino Real. Los Altos’ low crime rate, excellent schools and proximity to coastal foothills make it one of the area’s premier cities.

All of the public schools are highly regarded, and most graduates of Los Altos area high schools continue their education at well-known universities. Los Altos strives to maintain a semi-rural atmosphere. Los Altos has few sidewalks except in commercial zones. Minimum lot size for most residential housing is one-quarter of an acre. Most roads have broad dirt shoulders and little or no street lights. The civic center sits in the middle of an orchard, a remnant of those that once covered the area. Many local homes start at $2 million and offer an excellent standard of living that can’t be duplicated. Contact us today for excellent Los Altos and Los Altos Hills representation.
